§ Mr. AlisonThe total subvention to Northern Ireland including payments to the Northern Ireland Consolidated Fund for the financial year 1980–81 is estimated at £1,091 million. The figure is an estimate because outturn for certain components is still provisional. This figure includes, in additon to grant-in-aid to the Northern Ireland Consolidated Fund, other sums which are not receipts to that fund, such as agricultural subsidies paid by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food; a parity payment from the Great Britain national insurance fund to the Northern Ireland national insurance fund; and expenditure on law and order and protective services borne on United Kingdom Votes.
