The contract between the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority and Rossing Uranium Limited was authorized by the then Government in 1968. Deliveries began in 1978. The Government do not recognize the United Nations Council for Namibia's claim to act as the lawful administration of Namibia and therefore do not regard its consent to the contract as necessary.
