HC Deb 29 June 1981 vol 7 c240W
Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will give the salary and expenses paid or claimed by Mr. Woodrow Wyatt, the chariman of the Toatalisator Board, and the number of hours wourked by him per day or per week; how these figures compare with each of the past two years; and to what extent the Government's policy of cutting Government expenditure has been applied so far as the Totalisator Board and its staff are concerned.

Mr. Mayhew

The emoluments and expenses of all members of the Horserace Totalisator Board are published in the board's annual report and statement of account. The charirman is paid on the basis of a four-day week. The board is entirely self-financing and receives no support from public funds.
