Member for Brent, South; if he proposes to issue further advice to family practitioner committees; and if he will make a statement.
§ Dr. VaughanThere has been no change in the requirement for a dentist to provide his patient with form FP 17D showing acceptance for NHS dental treatment. This remains part of general dental practitioners' terms of service. .
My right hon. Friend accepted the findings of the Calderdale family practitioner committee that the dentist was in breach of his terms of service and endorsed its recommendations. General dental practitioners should be fully aware of their terms of service and I do not consider that further advice to family practitioner committees on this matter is necessary.
