§ Mr. LawsonThe latest figures for United Kingdom private investment overseas, and for other capital movements in and out of the United Kingdom, were published in table G of the press notice "United Kingdom Balance of Payments in the first quarter of 1981", issued by the Central Statistical Office on 9 June 1981. This press notice covers the years 1978 to 1980. Figures for earlier years back to 1973, when the United Kingdom became a member of the European Economic Community, and earlier, were published on page 88 of the March issue of Economic Trends.
