§ Sir Brandon Rhys Williamsasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will publish the latest estimates available for 1981–82 and 1982–83 at 1981 prices showing (a) total general Government expenditure including debt interest, (b) total general Government receipts, (c) total expenditure on each of education, housing, health and personal social services, employment and training, (d) sub-totals for school meals and milk, student awards and benefits and allowances paid under the youth opportunities 4W programme, training opportunities programmes and similar schemes and (e) estimated receipts of each of income tax, national insurance contributions and national insurance surcharge.
§ Mr. BrittanEstimates at 1981 prices are not available. General Government receipts and expenditure at 1979–80 prices are published in Tables 6, 7 and 8 of the Financial Statement and Budget Report. Table 7 provides a breakdown of general Government receipts. No further breakdown of the 1982–83 receipts figures are available but cash figures for 1981–82 are shown in Table 15 of the Financial Statement and Budget Report.
Total Great Britain expenditure at 1980 survey prices on education, housing health and personal social services, employment and training is shown in Table 4.1 of "The Government Expenditure Plans 1981–82 to 1983–84" Cmnd. 8175. For 1981–82 the sub-totals requested are as follows. For 1982–83 the sub-totals are not generally available in the detail requested.
