§ Mr. Butcherasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will make a statement on the average joint incomes of the parents of those children who have been successful in obtaining a place under the assisted places scheme.
§ Dr. BoysonSchools are currently selecting the pupils who will take up assisted places in September. The Department will be collecting information from the schools, including information on parents' incomes, when the selection process has been completed.
