§ Mr. Michael MarshallThe new public expenditure in direct support of the civil aerospace and aero engine industry was £198.7 million in the financial year 1979–80 and is expected to be £205.8 million in 1980–81.
I have excluded assistance which may have been given under, for example, section 7 or 8 of the Industry Act. Such assistance is, of course, available to a wide range of industries.
