§ Mr. Peter MorrisonIn Greater Manchester in 1980–81, 20,100 young people entered the youth opportunities programme and 296 entered Community Industry. Expenditure during the year was about £10 million for the former and £250,000 for Community Industry.
Plans for 1981–82 provide for 23,700 entrants to the youth opportunities programme and 300 to Community Industry.
