§ Mr. Carter-Jonesasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will publish in the Official Report figures to illustrate the growth in the provision of sheltered housing for the elderly by local authorities, voluntary and religious organisations and housing associations from 1960 to the latest available date.
§ Mr. Stanley[pursuant to his reply, 16 June 1981]: Information was not collected regularly on the provision of sheltered housing for the elderly before July 1980. The information which has been collected since that date will be published in "Housing and Construction Statistics" later this year. Results of an inquiry sent to local authorities and housing associations in 1978, were published in "Report on a survey of housing for old people provided by local authorities and housing associations in England and Wales", by the Department of the Environment and the Welsh Office, a copy of which is in the Library.
