§ Mr. MacGregorInformation on net output per employee in manufacturing industry—orders III to XIX of the United Kingdom standard industrial classification—is collected each year in the annual census of production. Results for 1978, due to be published shortly, show that in 1978 manufacturing net output per employee amounted to £8,063 in England, £7,784 in Wales and £7,926 in Scotland.
