asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what is the average water bill for (a) domestic and (b) industrial users in each water authority area in England for the year 1980–81 and 1981–82.

[pursuant to his reply, 11 June 1981]: The estimated average domestic bills for water services, including chages for sewerage and environmental services, payable to water authorities in England for the years 1980–81 and 1981–82 are set out in the following table. It is not possible to give average figures for bills paid by industrial consumers because they are not identified separately from other metered consumers.
