HC Deb 12 June 1981 vol 6 c234W
Mr. D. E. Thomas

asked the Secretary of State for Energy what plans he has to implement the recommendations of (a) the report "Small-scale Hydro-Electric Potential of Wales" by the University of Salford and (b) the report by the Engineering and Power Development Consultants Ltd. (ET/48/175/01) to his Department on the possibility of installing generating plant at Peny-ganeg, Brianne and Llys-y-Fran reservoirs.

Mr. John Moore

The reports referred to were factual reports on the potential size of the hydro resource in Wales, and the capital costs of specific installations; they contained no recommendations.

The programme of work following these studies is proceeding as given in my reply to my hon. Friend the Member for Dartford (Mr. Dunn) on 15 December 1980.
