HC Deb 11 June 1981 vol 6 c180W
29. Mr. Freud

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will take steps to introduce a more effective procedure for dealing with complaints in respect of radio interference.

Mr. Raison

My right hon. Friend has no plans to initiate any modification of the procedures adopted by the post office radio interference service, which acts as our agent in this matter. He is aware of the current difficulties arising from the mounting level of interference caused in particular by unlawful use of citizens' band radio. We are ready to consider the matter further if the hon. Member would write to me explaining in what respect he thinks these procedures are defective.
