asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what is his policy regarding applications for planing consent for warehouse and transport depot sites in the green belt adjacent to link roads on the London side of the M25.

The general presumption against development in the green belt is not affected by the construction of the M25 or its associated link roads. The application of this policy in the first instance is the responsibility of the local planning authorities.
