HC Deb 10 June 1981 vol 6 c129W
Mr. Kilroy-Silk

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if, in view of the fact that two of the houses on the Moss Side and Park Lane hospitals site have been empty for more than two years, he will now make them available to the local authority to be used for the homeless, at least on a temporary basis.

Sir George Young

The two houses are both considered to be unsafe pending electrical re-wiring and upgrading. The Property Services Agency has agreed to put this work in hand urgently. When it has been completed the houses will be required for the additional staff recruited for the expansion of the new Park Lane hospital.
