HC Deb 10 June 1981 vol 6 c123W
Mr. Maclennan

asked the Secretary of State for Trade if the Government are satisfied with the availability of consumer advice and help in rural Scotland; and if he will take steps to extend the provision of help and advice.

Mrs Sally Oppenheim

[pursuant to her reply, 9 June 1981]: Support for such services, whether provided through citizens' advice bureaux or otherwise, is primarily a matter for the local authorities concerned. But my Department's grant to the Scottish Association of Citizens' Advice Bureaux has been substantially increased.
