§ Mr. Winnickasked the Secretary of State for Social Services, pursuant to the reply to the hon. Member for Edinburgh, Central (Mr. Cook) on 2 June, Official Report, column 333–34, if he will state the number of children for whom a dependency increase of unemployed benefit was being paid at the date when a count was made, or were included in the calculation of the requirements of an unemployed person getting a supplementary allowance in the Walsall travel-to-work area, the Black County travel-to-work area and the West Midlands area as a whole.
§ Mrs. ChalkerI regret that this information is not readily available except for Great Britain as a whole, and to obtain it for particular areas would involve disproportionate cost.
