HC Deb 09 June 1981 vol 6 c77W
Mr. Philip Holland

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will list in the Offical Report the names of the members appointed to the London Advisory Group, and in each case state the full-time occupation and other official appointments held.

Mr. Patrick Jenkin

I refer my hon. Friend to my reply to my hon. Friend the Member for Ravensbourne (Mr. Hunt) on 2 May 1980—[Vol. 983 c.720–21]. Two additional members were subsequently appointed to the group: Mr. Peter Jacques, secretary of the social insurance and industrial welfare department of the Trades Union Congress; and Dr. John Havard, secretary of the British Medical Association.

Full details of other appointments of members of the London Advisory Group are not held centrally and could only be obtained at disproportionate costs.

The group has now completed its work and has been disbanded. Its final report will be published shortly.
