asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will list in the Official Report the names of the members appointed to the Council for Tertiary Education in Scotland, and in each case state the full-time occupation and other official appointments held.

The committee of inquiry, which is now dissolved, completed its work in December 1980 and its report was published as Cmnd. 8115 in January 1981. The names of members and their occupations were given in my reply to the hon. Member on 1 May 1980.—[Vol. 983, c. 618–19.] Two members of the committee held appointments by the Secretary of State to other official posts: Mr. I. S. Campbell, OBE, JP—Member, North of Scotland Hydro Electric Board. Mr. A. F. Mutch, CBE, JP—Member, Central Advisory Committee on Justices of the Peace.
