HC Deb 08 June 1981 vol 6 c36W
Mr. Rooker

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many widows without dependent children aged 50 to 64 years claiming widow's benefit receive additional component; what is the maximum, minimum, and average amount paid at the latest available date; and how many of these he estimates will receive a total State pension greater than their tax allowance plus £100 in 1981–82.

Mr. Rossi

I regret that up-to-date information is not available and could be obtained only at disproportionate cost. New information will be available in the autumn.
