asked the Secretary of State for Employment what was the monthly increase and the total number of persons employed by community industry in West Cumbria during the last month for which statistics are available.

In May 1981 there were 99 young employees in community industry places in West Cumbria, an increase of five young employees compared with April. In addition, 17 adult staff are employed at the community industry unit in West Cumbria.
