asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if it remains his intention to seek to amend the Housing (Homeless Persons) Act 1977; and if he is yet able to say when this will be.

My right hon. Friend is reviewing the operation of the Act but no decision has yet been reached as to whether any changes are necessary. It is hoped to conclude the review shortly.
