Mr. Craigen

asked the Secretary of State for Energy what consideration is being given to the safety factors involved in domestic premises over the proposals in the Monopolies and Mergers Commission report on the sale of gas appliances.

The Government are still considering the best course of action to deal with the problems identified in the Monopolies and Mergers Commission Report and are taking into account all attendant factors.
