HC Deb 08 June 1981 vol 6 c29W
Dr. Roger Thomas

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services from which medical professional organisations he has received representations objecting to (a) the reduction of the Review Body of Doctors and Dentists Pay recommendation from the original percentage to 6 per cent. and (b) the decision of the review body to investigate general practitioner deputising services and claims for out-of-hours expenses.

Mr. Patrick Jenkin

I met the chairman of the council of the British Medical Association and the chairmen of the four craft committees, who expressed their concern about the Government's decision. No other medical organisation has made representations on this subject and none has been made concerning the review body's comments on deputising services and out-of-hours payments.
