§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster whether he will move to appoint a select committee of senior hon. and right hon. Members to investigate all aspects of the events prior to, during and subsequent upon the trial and conviction of Mr. Peter Sutcliffe to ascertain whether or not there was any neglect or maladministration on the part of any of the public authorities or their servants at any time, including events revealed at the trial.
