§ 7. Mr. Stottasked the Secretary of State for-Transport under what provision in the Transport Act 1980 he is making cash payments to the two counties which are introducing bus service trial areas as a result of the Transport Act 1980.
§ Mr. FowlerI have made no payment under the Transport Act 1980. I took account of the bids made by Hereford and Worcester and Norfolk to cover contingencies arising out of the designation of their trial areas when I determined their amount of accepted expenditure on which their transport supplementary grant—TSG—was calculated for 1981–82. TSG is a block grant paid under section 6 of the Local Government Act 1974.
