Mr. Whitehead

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will publish the total cost of running the University Grants Committee (a) in total and (b) as a proportion of the total grant to universities in 1960–61, 1965–66, 1970–71, 1975–76, 1976–77, 1977–78, 1978–79 and 1979–80, respectively.
