§ Mr. Lathamasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, pursuant to the Chief Secretary's reply to the hon. Member for Melton on 23 July, he will describe the contribution which he intends that the forthcoming increase in gas prices following Government directives will make towards his counter-inflation policy and to achieving moderate pay settlements in the forthcoming wage round.
