§ Mr. Stanbrookasked the Secretary of State for Trade why (a) the Solicitors Law Stationery Ltd. and Oyez Services, (b) Dawglen Managements Ltd. and its associated companies and (c) Waterlows Ltd. have been omitted from the list of companies allocated quotas for searches at the Companies Registry, Cardiff.
§ Mr. Eyre[pursuant to his reply, 30 July 1981]: Allocations have been made to agents already using the Cardiff search room service: regrettably there is no capacity to meet further demands until the problems resulting from industrial action have been resolved.
§ Mr. Stanbrookasked the Secretary of State for Trade if he will list the companies which have been granted quotas for searches at the Companies Registry, Cardiff, with the reason for their inclusion in each case.
§ Mr. Eyre[pursuant to his reply, 30 July 1981]: The information is as follows:

§ Mr. Stanbrookasked the Secretary of State for Trade why a system of rationing permits for searches at the Companies Registry, Cardiff, has been instituted; and on what criteria allocations for searches have been made as between company registration agents.
§ Mr. Eyre[pursuant to his reply, 30 July 1981]: Because since March industrial action has very severely restricted facilities for search at the companies registration office. Demand was at first met by the Registrar on a first come, first served basis. Where it was found that this caused unacceptable queues and other problems, a small allocation was made to some agents, on the basis of their level of activity in Cardiff during the currency of the industrial action.
