asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what was the total grant to the Voluntary Services Unit in 1980; what organisations he supported; and by how much.

I refer my hon. Friend to the reply given to a question by the hon. Member for Dundee, East (Mr. Wilson) on 6 March and to the reply to a question by the right hon. Member for Manchester, Wythenshawe (Mr. Morris) on 8 April. In addition, the Voluntary Services Unit administers grants-in-aid to the Women's Royal Voluntary Service and the National Council for Voluntary Organisations. Grant-in-aid to WRVS was £3,576,000 and to NCVO £663,000 in 1980–81.
