§ Dr. BoysonMy right hon. and learned Friend has received 15 letters from the hon. Member for Eccles (Mr. Carter-Jones) about the allocation of grants by the University Grants Committee. In view of the total volume of correspondence on this subject, it may be some time before he receives any reply. The Government's policy on the financing of the universities was explained in the debate on 8 July and my right hon. and learned Friend does not intend to publish replies to individual letters from hon. Members in theOfficial Report.
