§ Mr. BrittanUnit wage and salary costs in United Kingdom manufacturing rose by 32 per cent. between June 1979 and March this year compared with 9 per cent. for West Germany and 3 per cent. for Japan. The latest figure for France relates to the fourth quarter of 1980 and shows an increase of 21 per cent. since the second quarter of 1979.
