§ Mr. ParkinsonI have discussed this matter with representatives of the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders who were reasonably satisfied with the outcome452W of their talks with the Japanese Automobile Manufacturers Association. The levels of these imports from Japan are expected to fall significantly; my Department will continue to monitor progress closely.
