HC Deb 30 July 1981 vol 9 cc519-20W
Rev. Ian Paisley

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland (1) if he will make a statement on the industrial strategy review, published in January 1981;

(2) whether he considers the 48,000 jobs planned in the next five years by the industrial strategy review sufficient, in view of the present figure of over 100,000 unemployed;

(3) if he is satisfied that his Department will be able to create 48,000 jobs in the next five years in Northern Ireland as envisaged in the industrial strategy review.

Mr. Adam Butler

I shall reply to the hon. Gentleman as soon as possible.
