§ Mr. Peter Robinsonasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many sheltered dwellings the 443W Northern Ireland Housing Executive plans to build in each of the next five years for the physically disabled in Belfast and South-Eastern regions; and what are the locations of and numbers on each site.
§ Mr. David MitchellThis is a matter for the Northern Ireland Housing Executive but the chairman has informed me that the approved new build programme for 1981–82 contains proposals for sheltered dwellings at:
Location Number Bernagh Drive 22 RDA 29 Newtownards Road 25 Peter's Hill 27 A scheme for 27 dwellings at Brougham Street was to start in April 1982 but may be brought forward if finance is available. No schemes are planned for the South-East region in 1981–82.
The hon. Gentleman will be aware that housing associations are also active in this field.
