§ 40. Mr. Wardasked the Secretary of State for Employment in how many instances trade unions have made use of the provisions for secret postal ballots established by the Employment Act 1980.
§ Mr. WaddingtonI refer my hon. Friend to my reply to my hon. Friend the Member for Bristol, North-West (Mr. Colvin) on 23 July. I am informed by the Certification Officer that two unions have so far received payment and six applications from five other unions remain under consideration.
