§ Mr. MonroMy right hon. Friend has already announced that the estimated cost to public funds of his Department's contribution to the Royal wedding is £50,000. The bulk of this covers the cost of dressing the Mall with flags and floral decorations up to and including Admiralty Arch as part of the ceremonial route. The remainder covers providing and laying a carpet in St. Paul's Cathedral and returning it to store after the service; together with some limited floral decorations outside the cathedral.
