asked the Secretary of State for Trade what has been the value and amount of silver imported into the United Kingdom in the past year.

Mr. Parkinson

4,934 tonnes of silver in unwrought, semi-manufactured, waste and residual forms, with a value of £1,278 million (cif), were imported into the United Kingdom in 1980.
