§ Mr. AlisonAs I told the hon. Gentleman on 27 January 1981—[Vol. 997, c. 312]—80 buses were destroyed in 1980, at an estimated total cost of £536,000. No separate records are kept of incidents involving the robbing or hijacking of buses. Details of convictions and penalties imposed for offences specifically connected with attacks on buses are not readily available and could be obtained only at disproportionate cost.
