§ Mr. HurdWe are taking the outcome of the Israeli elections into account in considering the next steps of our European peace efforts. I cannot anticipate the result, but we remain fully committed to the search for progress towards a comprehensive peace settlement, which we believe is an essential component of a secure future for Israel.
