§ 16. Mr. Nicholas Wintertonasked the Lord Privy Seal what steps Her Majesty's Government have taken to involve Jordan in the autonomy talks provided for under the Camp David agreement.
§ Mr. HurdThe autonomy talks, which so far have not included Jordan, are a matter for the Governments of Israel, Egypt and the United States. The talks are at present stalled. If they resume, we hope they will evolve in a form acceptable to the Palestinians and to Jordan, without whose co-operation lasting peace will not be possible.
