§ Mr. Peter Robinsonasked the Attorney-General how many charges relating to scheduled offences were withdrawn by the Director of Public Prosecutions against persons in Northern Ireland in 1980.
§ The Attorney-GeneralDuring the year 1980 the Director of Public Prosecutions for Northern Ireland directed no prosecution in respect of 26 persons who had been charged by the police with scheduled offences. This represents approximately 4⅔ per cent. of the persons so charged.
