§ Mr. Alexander FletcherThe full-time equivalent numbers of teachers employed in education authority nursery, primary, secondary and special schools at September 1979 in Tayside region and Scotland were 4,233 and 57,646 respectively. Completely comparable information about the position at September 1980 is not yet available, but the number of teachers in full-time equivalent terms employed at that date in education authority primary and secondary schools is provisionally assessed for Tayside region and Scotland as 3,919 and 53,989 respectively.
