§ 23. Mr. Greenwayasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science whether, following the setting up of the inquiry into the education of children from ethnic 351W minorities, he will set up a similar inquiry into educational disadvantages suffered by children from all sections of society regardless of racial origin.
§ Mr. Mark CarlisleI have no plans to do so. Over the years a number of national inquiries have looked at specific aspects of educational disadvantage either on their own or as part of a wider study. Specific studies are likely to be more fruitful than attempts to cover the whole field.
