HC Deb 13 July 1981 vol 8 cc313-4W
Mr. Ernie Ross

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many shorthand typists are currently unemployed in Dundee; and how this compares with each of the past two years.

Mr. Alexander Fletcher

Information is not available in the precise form requested. On 12 March 1981, the latest date for which information is available, 68 unemployed people in Dundee were registered for employment as personal secretaries, shorthand writers or shorthand typists. The corresponding figures for March 1980 and March 1979 were 52 and 54, respectively.
