§ The Minister of State for Defence Procurement (Viscount Trenchard)Expenditure on defence since 1946–47 including the estimates for the current year totals £111,696 million. Figures for the individual years are set out below; there are some very minor changes from those figures in the Answer to the noble Lord on 4th March 1976.
