§ Mr. Peter MorrisonThe latest estimate for the average weekly gross cost of a place on the programme is currently £88.12 and the current avarage weekly net cost to the Exchequer of each place is estimated at £26.80, which is 30 per cent. of the gross costs. This does not take into account the benefit to the community of the work undertaken under the community enterprise programme.
