§ Mr. Greville Jannerasked the Lord Privy Seal whether he will take steps to draw the attention of the heads of all missions in the United Kingdom to article: 55, paragraph 1, of the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations—Cmnd. 2113—in particular in regard to the duty of all persons enjoying privileges and immunities to respect the laws and regulations of the receiving State.
§ Sir Ian GilmourHeads of all diplomatic missions in the United Kingdom are already aware of article 55, paragraph 1 of the Vienna Convention on Consular relations. It is our practice to make representations and to take the other action available to us under international law if we consider that there has been an infringement of the convention.
