§ Mr. WaddingtonThe Health and Safety Executive has no responsibility for enforcing regulations dealing with the conveyance by road of hazardous substances made under the Petroleum (Consolidation) Act 1928. Their enforcement responsibility in respect of the Hazardous Substances (Labelling of Road Tankers) Regulations 1978 is limited to places other than on public roads. They carry out this responsibility together with many other duties and it is not possible to say how many staff are involved specifically in this work. No increase in staff is proposed for this work.
